The Good, The Gaps and Some Great Ideas

Over the past several months, our founder Rishi Nursimulu has been leading a deep reflection on the state of the Education sector in Mauritius: its achievements, the systemic gaps and the bold ideas that could redefine our future. The result is this thought-provoking report: “The Good, The Gaps and Some Great Ideas”. Drawing on field experience, extensive research and consultation with stakeholders across the sector, the report thoroughly explores the 14 areas identified by the Ministry of Education — from curriculum, early childhood development, inclusive education to positioning Mauritius as a true Education Hub.

We are conscious that when private schools engage in the national education conversation, it can sometimes be perceived as self-congratulatory or critical of the public sector. However, this report is not about comparison nor is it presented as a complete solution. Rather, it is offered as a sincere and constructive contribution to a collective effort: to reimagine education for the next generation. It is about bringing ideas in a spirit of humility, with the sincere hope that it can support meaningful reform across the entire education system.

We invite all educators, policymakers, parents and students to explore the report. If it sparks reflection, encourages dialogue, or inspires even small acts of reform, then it will have served its purpose.
